We’re building a community of people solving society’s challenges with AI. For three months, we’ll help you imagine what’s possible, build a demo, and find a way to make it real.
Every month has learning sessions to pick up new skills, community spaces to think out loud with others, and ends in a showcase where selected projects take the stage.
The journey
Join for the whole run, or jump in when a month fits you. Each phase builds on the last and ends in a marquee event.
Explore different sectors, imagine possibilities with AI, and find out what you feel inspired to create.
Refine problem statements, meet your users, write PRDs and vibecode demos. Open to everyone, whether or not you joined in October.
Time to test: do users even want this? If yes, how do you take it to market?
If a stranger can use it without you standing over their shoulder explaining, you’re onto something real.
Marquee events
Throughout the three months we organise learning sessions and community spaces to help you move through the stages. Each phase ends in a marquee event where selected projects are showcased, and winners are announced live.
Make a 2–3 minute vision piece: “If AI could solve [a specific social problem], here’s what it would look like.”
This isn’t a demo. It’s a short film or other media format that vividly illustrates your idea and its impact on the world. Use AI tools to make it: video and image generation, voice, animation, anything.
Shortlisted creators screen their films and pitch their ideas live. Award categories: best practical idea, best imagination of an AI utopia, and best storytelling. Selected films are published on our website and channels.
Build a rough working demo with AI and show it to the community.
Submit your demo online; selected builders demo it live, and a winner is announced in each category. You’ll see what everyone else built, too.
Present what you built, what real users told you, and where you want to take it next.
Share a summary of what you’ve done and learned, a plan for the next three months, and the support you need to get there. Then ask for funding to run user testing and validate your idea with real people.

At Pitch Fest, you present what you’ve built and what you’ve learned so far, and ask for funding to take it further.
Each marquee event announces winners live, and selected work is published on our website and channels.

No. October is for exactly that: exploring sectors, riffing with people who work in them, and finding something you feel inspired to create.
Not for October; the Film Fest asks for a vision piece, not a demo. In November you’ll build a rough working demo, and sessions on vibe coding and building agents will help you get there.
Yes. Build Month is open to everyone, whether or not you took part in October. December is focused on people who built a demo in November and want to test it with real users.
Mostly. Live sessions and marquee events happen online, and some creative sessions are self-paced. We’re also exploring city build weekends in November.
